Date/Time: Mon 5/5/2025 at 6:00 PM
Location: ARES Virtual Classroom
Class Price: See Options
Notes: Welcome to the ARES EMT Class B125 beginning January 6, 2025! Our program is structured in 5 modules setup as follows:

Module I: Intro to EMS / EMS Safety
Module II: Patient Assessment
Module III: Medical Emergencies
Module IV: Trauma
Module V: Special Populations

Class lectures happen Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6p via Microsoft Teams so you don’t have to travel to a class and can attend anywhere you have an internet connection. At the conclusion of each module (except module 1 as there are no associated skills), you will be able to attend a skill lab at any nearby location, as well as complete one of their four clinical shifts. By the end of the lectures, you will have completed all necessary steps to sit for national certification and complete your psychomotor skills evaluations.

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Online Course Details

Start in our LIVE virtual classroom where you’ll interact with your instructors and fellow students in real-time as you engage in your emergency medical technician didactic education. All the supporting materials you’ll need will be preloaded into your course management system before the first class.

The course curriculum covers anatomy, physiology, patient assessment survey and triage, bleeding control, treatment of shock, oxygen therapy, and more.

Unable to be at your computer during a live lecture? Don’t worry! Not only is our system accessible from your smartphone or tablet, but every class is recorded and archived, so you can get attendance credit when you watch the class in full within three days of the original lecture. And, if you need extra help with a topic, it’s always there for your review.

At pre-scheduled points during the didactic lectures, students will travel to their nearest training location for skills training and testing. You will be trained to handle a multitude of real-world situations through extensive hands-on training and instruction in our simulation labs. At the same time that each skills training happens, students will be able to complete one of their required field internships at their local ambulance company.

After all training and field internships have been completed, students will then be eligible to take the NREMT psychomotor and written exam in their home state.

Please select your payment plan. If you plan to use Affirm financing, you MUST complete the steps included in your confirmation email!

If your BLS certification expires before course completion, Choose the BLS add-on for a discounted refresher rate! Please consider making a $20 donation to the ARES Responder Relief Project to help support education tuition assistance, financial relief, and public access to life saving equipment such as AEDs and Stop the Bleed kits.

AHA STUDENT MANUAL AND TEXTBOOK POLICY

Each student must have the current, appropriate course textbook of their own readily available for use before, during, and after the course.

Textbooks are designed for individual use and are an integral part of the student’s education. Students may reuse their textbooks during renewals or updates UNTIL NEW SCIENCE GUIDELINES ARE PUBLISHED. (i.e. 2020 AHA Update)

The American Heart Association (AHA) designs their resuscitation courses using the most current educational design concepts. In order to maximize the students’ learning potential and keep course length manageable, the AHA have designed the classroom courses with the intent that students will have the opportunity to study the course materials outside of the class itself. It is necessary that students have access to student manuals before, during, and after each course, especially if the students are less familiar with the skills.

ARES BOOK POLICY

NO BOOKS may be returned or refunded for any reason. Books may not be issued during the course and then returned for a refund; this includes if it has been unopened. Books may also not be shared during the course; this is against American Heart Association rules and guidelines. Per AHA Rules, each student must have their own current book in order to attend an AHA course.
